Business consulting that gets specific, fast

We work with owner-managed firms across Wales and the wider UK. Not with slide decks and frameworks you already know, but with the financial models, operational changes and hiring decisions that actually move your numbers. Most engagements last eight to twelve weeks.

Four stages, nothing hidden

Every engagement follows the same structure. You will know what we are doing, why, and what it costs before each stage begins. No open-ended retainers.

1

Diagnostic week

We spend five working days inside your business. We interview your team, read your management accounts for the past 18 months, map your customer acquisition costs and review supplier contracts. At the end of the week you get a written diagnostic: what is working, what is leaking money and where the fastest gains sit. This stage costs a fixed fee agreed before we start.

2

Priority plan

We build a 90-day action plan ranked by expected financial impact. Each action has a named owner, a deadline and a measurable outcome. We present this in person and adjust it until you are satisfied it is realistic for your team size and cash position.

3

Implementation support

For the next six to ten weeks we work alongside your people. That might mean sitting in on sales calls to fix your pricing conversation, rebuilding your cash-flow forecasting spreadsheet, or running the recruitment process for a role you have been trying to fill for months. We do the work with you, not just advise from the side.

4

Handover and review

Before we leave, we document every change, train the relevant staff and schedule a 60-day check-in call at no extra charge. If something we recommended is not producing results by then, we come back for a day to fix it.

Five consulting services for growing firms

Operational audit

We trace every pound from the moment it enters your business to the moment it leaves. You get a line-by-line cost map, a list of the five largest inefficiencies and a recommendation for each one. Typical duration: one week on-site plus three days of analysis.

Growth strategy

We model two or three realistic growth paths for your firm, each with a detailed P&L forecast, headcount plan and capital requirement. You pick one. We help you execute it. This is not a vision board exercise; it is arithmetic.

Financial restructuring

If your margins have thinned or your debt load is uncomfortable, we renegotiate supplier terms, restructure loan schedules and redesign your pricing. We have helped firms reduce their monthly fixed costs by 15 to 30 per cent without cutting staff.

Sales process design

We map your current pipeline from first contact to signed contract, identify where prospects drop off, and redesign the steps. Includes script development, CRM setup recommendations and a follow-up cadence your team can actually maintain.

Succession and exit planning

Thinking about selling, merging or handing the business to a family member? We value the business using three methods, identify what a buyer would question, and spend eight to twelve weeks improving those areas before you go to market.

Numbers, not promises

£340k
Recovered annual margin — manufacturing firm, Swansea

A 48-person sheet-metal manufacturer was losing margin on long-standing contracts that had never been repriced. We audited every active contract, renegotiated seven of them and introduced a quarterly price-review clause. The £340k figure is the difference between their old and new annualised gross margin.

22 days
Reduced debtor days — logistics company, Cardiff

Their average debtor days stood at 67. We restructured their invoicing schedule, introduced staged payments for contracts over £5,000 and set up automated reminders. Within four months, debtor days dropped to 45. Cash in the bank increased by roughly £180k at any given time.

3x pipeline
Sales pipeline growth — SaaS start-up, Bristol

A six-person software company had a founder-led sales process that could not scale. We designed a repeatable outbound sequence, hired and trained two junior sales reps and built a CRM dashboard the founder could review in five minutes each morning. Qualified pipeline tripled in 90 days.

Before you get in touch

Most of our clients have between 10 and 200 employees and turn over £1m to £30m per year. We occasionally work with smaller firms if the engagement is tightly scoped, but we are not the right fit for sole traders or pre-revenue start-ups.
The diagnostic week is priced between £3,500 and £6,000 depending on business complexity. Full implementation support ranges from £15,000 to £45,000 for a typical 8-to-12-week engagement. We quote fixed fees, not day rates, so there are no surprises.
The diagnostic week is always on-site. During implementation, we split time: usually two days per week at your premises and the rest remote. For clients outside Wales, we adjust the schedule and cover our own travel costs within England and Wales.
Manufacturing, professional services, logistics, food production, SaaS and construction. The common thread is owner-managed businesses where the founder is still involved in daily operations and wants to either grow or prepare for an exit.
Yes. About a third of our clients do exactly that. The diagnostic report is yours to keep regardless of whether you continue with us. Some firms use it to brief an internal team or another adviser. We would rather you make the right decision than feel locked in.

Tell us what you are working on

The quickest way to start is a 30-minute diagnostic call. No preparation needed on your end. We will ask about your revenue, team size, main frustration and what you have already tried. If we think we can help, we will outline a scope and fee within 48 hours.
